New IOSH and NEBOSH training course dates for 2023

Booking for 2023 IOSH and NEBOSH health and safety courses is now available. The courses are delivered by our Risk Management Advisers, at our Norwich head office, who have real-world, daily experience of helping businesses manage their risks across a wide range of industries.

The IOSH and NEBOSH courses cover health and safety in an interactive, jargon-free environment, and gives attendees the skills to manage health and safety within their teams. The courses help employees to understand the risks within their workplace, and how they personally contribute towards creating a safe working environment.

Health and safety courses can help businesses to mitigate risks in the workplace and demonstrate a commitment to safe working practises to their insurer.

We have been delivering the IOSH course for the last three years and have recently gained accreditation to deliver the NEBOSH course. We’re one of only two providers in Norwich with accreditation to deliver this course.

Both courses are delivered on site at our head office in Norwich. Free parking is available for the duration of the course.

IOSH Managing Safely course overview

The IOSH Managing Safely course covers the basics of health and safety in the workplace and is suitable for all employees at any type and size of business. This three-day course helps people to understand their health and safety responsibilities, hazards, and risks in the workplace, and how they can control them to help create a safer working environment.

This course can also give employees company-wide a better understanding of safety awareness culture as it is suitable for those that don’t have a specific responsibility for health and safety within their role.

The course fee is £550 + VAT.

2023 IOSH course dates:

• 6^th to 8^th June
• 12^th to 14^th September
• 5^th to 7^th December

NEBOSH National General Certificate course overview

The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is one of the UK’s most popular and widely respected health and safety qualifications, providing managers and staff with a sound understanding of the principles of risk management.

The course provides a valuable overview of the core aspects of occupational health and safety, equipping attendees with the skills to manage workplace risks effectively. The course can help to minimise injuries and illness in the workplace, improve employee wellbeing, and demonstrates a commitment to health and safety both internally and externally.

Relevant to every workplace, the NEBOSH National General Certificate is ideal if you are a manager or supervisor and have health and safety management responsibilities. Delivered over 10 days, this course is also suited to those embarking on a career in health and safety or looking to advance their career.

The course fee is £1,695 + VAT.

Mike Farrow

Mike is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner (CMIOSH) and has been delivering the IOSH course since 2019. Mike joined Alan Boswell Risk Management in 2019 and maintains an active Continual Professional Development (CPD) programme. Mike is a trainer for both the IOSH and NEBOSH courses.

Gavin Dearsley

Gavin is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner and Biosafety Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on how to manage and mitigate risk in the workplace. Gavin is a trainer for the NEBOSH course.
